Barn Conversion

Stone walls,
exposed beams,
open skies

Gibbs Hall Barn is a sympathetic conversion of an old farm building, set within the stunning Cumbrian countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Original stone walls and high timber-beamed ceilings are paired with every modern comfort.

The spacious open-plan living room — with a roaring fire and full-height glass doors framing the valley — becomes the natural heart of every stay. Spacious enough for families with children, intimate enough for two.

Heritage

Three centuries
in the making

The Gibbs Hall farmstead dates to the late 17th or early 18th century — a Grade II listed complex of sandstone and slate in the heart of Dentdale. The farmhouse, though now a consolidated ruin, retains its chamfered mullion windows and corbelled chimney stack.

The former barn, converted to a cottage, carries the same spirit of place. Thick stone walls, original proportions and the dramatic surrounding landscape remain unchanged across 300 years.
